Position Overview:


This posting will serve to fill a 1.0FTE Physical Education (PE) Long-Term Regular Substitute Teacher position anticipated to be available approximately 11/1/2018 or until the return, resignation, or retirement of the staff member on leave or sooner termination by the Board of Education but no later than 6/26/2019. Position Overview:
This reposting will serve to fill a full-time probationary Special Education teacher position available due to a resignation and District needs.  At this moment, the 2018-19 assignment is anticipated to be Resource Room Gr. 6-8 at the Middle level; however, this posting will also serve to fill district-wide Special Education teacher assignments that may occur due to internal staff movement as a result of this posting.

School Bus Attendant 

Position Overview:
This posting will serve to fill various civil service non-competitive school bus attendant runs that may become available in the 2018-19 school year such as due to resignations, leaves, and route changes. Runs that may become available throughout the school year will be filled per the transportation bidding notice and process posted at the transportation facility. The assignment will be riding in a school vehicle supervising assigned students. An employee filling this position is responsible for assisting the school bus driver in the safe transportation of student(s) assigned. The work is performed under the general supervision of the assigned driver with overall supervision by the transportation supervisor. The SBA will follow specific duties/expectations outlined in the assigned student(s) IEP as well as other duties/expectations as required. If the incumbent is serving student(S) with a disabling condition, the employee must successfully complete the NYSED mandated raining and testing before the candidate can assume this position. This posting will also serve to fill any school bus attendant vacancies that may occur due to internal movement as a result of this posting.

Automotive Mechanic

Position Overview:

This posting will serve to fill a 12-month, full-time (8 pd. Hrs/day, 40 hr/week) non-competitive civil service automotive mechanic vacancy available due to a resignation pending action at the 8/14/18 Board meeting. Applicants from the original posting will be included in the applicant pool. An Automotive Mechanic is responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining all of the automotive and other equipment of a civil division. This is skilled work involving responsibility for the maintenance and repair, including major repair, of all automotive equipment owned by a Town, Village or School District. The work is performed under general direction with considerable leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment when bringing equipment up to approved standards of safety and operation. Supervision may be exercised over the work of school monitors, helpers, school bus attendants, bus drivers, automotive mechanic assistants and other employees as appropriate. The incumbent will perform all related duties as required. In addition to mechanic duties, this position will also involve driving school bus runs as needed.
