Water Testing

Dryden Central School District is committed to protecting the health of its students, teachers and staff, and hereby gives notice that the testing of drinking water has been completed. The District has implemented a lead monitoring program to protect potable water systems from contamination and prevent exposure. You may see a copy of all of Dryden's water testing results below.

Safe and healthy school environments can foster healthy and successful children. To protect public health, the Public Health Law and New York State Health Department (NYS DOH) regulations require that all public schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES) test lead levels in water from every outlet that is being used, or could potentially be used, for drinking or cooking.

The link below provides the complete report of all outlets used for cooking or drinking in Freeville Elementary School. Sample results for lead are labeled as the analyte and are measured in ug/L. The results indicate the level of lead in the water with no outlets at or above the action level of 5 parts per billion (ppb), which is equal to 5 micrograms per liter (µg/L).
